How to Feel Whole Again
Feel whole again. What does that even mean to you?
We are living in a time where we are so far removed from our natural state, from the natural flow of life, from the way nature intended us to be.
We are disconnected from ourselves and from each other, and “I feel lonely” are the words I hear the most. We don’t feel like we even know who we are anymore. We don’t trust our own intuition, our gut instinct, our inner voice that helps us make the right choices for our greatest good.
We run on adrenals, coping mechanisms and unconscious patterns that run silently in the background until we get sick, or injured, or so tired we can’t run anymore.
Then we are forced to actually be with ourselves, which for some can be wildly uncomfortable, me included.
When did we lose touch with ourselves?
When did we become so unconscious of our patterns and our limiting beliefs and become our own harshest critics?
When we look back at our lives, I’m sure we can find stories, life lessons and events attached to how we became who we are. We grew around those events, and the habits became how we coped and how we found comfort. They began to feel like our normal.
If you are anything like me, you built a whole life like this. Here’s the truth: I wasn’t comfortable. I didn’t love who I was. I only knew how to give to others to feel whole. I built a life of service and when you asked me what I did for a living, it was helping people feel comfortable in their lives. Wowser, I got lost somewhere in there!
Human, messy and doing our best
So as I sit here and write, I don’t profess to know all the answers.
I do know this: we are human, messy, doing the best we know at any given time with the knowledge we have available to us. We slip in and out of alignment and flow, sometimes many times a day.
We are here to become our fullest expression, to find our voice, to connect with our own hearts and to feel whole again. To treat ourselves with the kindness we offer those we love.
How to feel whole again
Get curious. Any time you feel yourself slipping, ask yourself: what’s really going on here? Is this for my greatest good, or just an old pattern? How can I best help myself today?
Make time for yourself without distractions, so you can connect back in and your inner voice gets a chance to speak.
Get back in contact with your own wisdom and knowledge. It’s there, just waiting for you to listen.
Don’t be afraid to reinvent yourself, as many times as needed.
Stay with the uncomfortable parts, because there is joy and freedom on the other side.
Make yourself the non-negotiable priority, so you can show up for everyone else with a full cup.
Shine your light and give others permission to shine too.
If you’re ready to make some time for yourself, start with the Connection Bundle. It’s three free guided meditations to help you slow down, connect back in and hear your inner voice again.
